- Write your observations in quality commentary with the two quotes provided by Chapter One, please share these with a partner, and we will discuss in class.

- Student is required to have a minimum of 200 words for 20 points.
- Several styles of “creative,” writing may be used: Fiction; Nonfiction Narrative; Memoir;Song Lyrics; Screenplay; and Poetry.
- This will be a 4 week assignment with a turn in of a completed piece of a minimum of 1000 words.
- Students are encouraged to work on this at home as well.
- The rubric is valued on total word count, word choice, creativity and conventions, for a score of 100 points.
- Take the Star Reading Assessment on-line which is a tab already set up RL. which stands for Renaissance learning
- When finished you have the rest of the period to read and take notes on Lord of the Flies Chapter 2: pages 32-47--your Cornell Notes and all commentary for Chapter 1 and 2 has to be completed by Monday, 9/18/2017. There will be an open note quiz on Monday, 9/18--but you only get the one page of notes per each chapter, plus the harvested quotes.
